THE's F-20 helmet is a lightweight, in-mold EPS helmet. It has 20 vents to keep the rider’s head cool, deep ¾ rear protection, a removable visor, rear retention system, a rear air deflector and It exceeds CPSC and CE certification standards.
Initial impressions:
Value - The F-20 can be purchased from many bike shops for $60-$70. In my opinion this helmet is comparable to helmets costing $100+ and should be considered a very good value.
Fit - Comfortable and very adjustable. Feels light on the head and has no points of irritation.
Ventilation - Excellent, one of the best ventilated helmets I've worn.
Protection - Very good, the 3/4 rear protection covers common impact areas on the back of the head and the overall coverage is more than adequate for an XC/Trail helmet.
Appearance - The graphics are aggressive but not obnoxious. It does look a bit tall on the head when in use. Looking at the helmet from the front you'll notice the somewhat tall and squarish profile. This give the helmet a larger look while on the head. It's not overwhelmingly goofy looking but I'm used to slightly lower profiles so this one caught me off guard initially and is really only noticeable from the front. However, because of this profile the additional space between your head and the non-contact points of the helmet allows for excellent ventilation.
